Chateauneuf du pape Nalys
This wine is made from grapes issued by old
vines located on poor sandy-textured soils of
marine origin, as well by vines located on La
Crau, which produce wines of very fine texture.
The blend is 96% Grenache and 4% Mourvèdre,
mainly issued from Nalys’ oldest vines.
The grapes are totally hand-picked and not destalked
for those harvested on the Châtaignier
plot and totally de-stalked for those coming from
La Crau, with a 33 days vating for 60% and 33
days vating for 40%, and aged during ten month
in concrete vats and four months in conic wood
vats of one wine.
