In 2001, Don Sebastiani and his two sons, Donny and August, established Don Sebastiani & Sons. Today the company is led by Donny Sebastiani, great–grandson of Samuele the Sebastiani patriarch.
“The plan is to continue the progress that previous generations in my family have made,” says Donny. “I want to have a similar impact on the wine industry. We are focusing on appellation-driven wines that appeal to a more wine-savvy audience. These wines, which include B Side, Aquinas, Don & Sons, The Crusher and Project Paso, are sourced from specific wine-growing regions such as Napa Valley, Sonoma Coast, Clarksburg and Paso Robles. At the end of the day, I’ve learned that the best thing a winery can offer is well-made wines of consistent quality. That’s our family tradition, and that continues to be our vision for Don Sebastiani & Sons.”
Today, Greg Kitchens and Michelle McClendon, winemakers for Don Sebastiani and Sons, strive to produce high-end wine at affordable prices. They don’t just source grapes from California – they’ve also formed partnerships to create Australian and Chilean blends, further expanding the company’s reach and complexity.
Under the guidance of a young, dynamic leadership team, Don & Sons are poised to expand their availability in UK to include their other great USA brands such as The Crusher and Smoking Loon while developing their creative services to offer a seemingly endless choice of wine & packaging options. Don & Sons are large enough to use economies of scale to deliver exceptional value; small enough to care about flexibility and service.
